Creating A Documentary (step-by-step)

1. Watch documentaries so you can learn about them and how they are put together. Analysis them so you can get an understanding into what you will need to do to create your own documentary.
2. Get familar with techniqual equipment, so you will not be lost when it comes to filming your documentary, also you will get better footage if you know how to work all the equipment avaliable to you.
3. Choose an interesting subject so that your documentary can be interesting and fun. Also whe choosing a subject it is important to choose something where resources can be avaliable to you so you can get lots of information.
4. It is important to do alot of research into your subject matter, you can ensure that you get everything you want in your documentary and if any questions are asked to you about your chosen subject you will be able to answer them.
5. Create a storyboard and create scripts, these will aid your documentary as you can plan what you want to do and change things that are wrong before filiming starts. You will also be able to see what the documentary will look and sound like.
6. Chose you setting, your location, cutaways and intereviewees carefully as you want to set the right mood for your documentary and you can get the best out of your subject creating a good documentary.
7. Shoot your documentary.
